This week, About A Dress is once again focused on men, and is also showcasing our brand new Two-Tone ties. This skirt came to us through Jennifer Jeremias’ vintage collection. The pattern is undeniably great (and it’s Pendleton wool!), but it hung on a rack for ages.
The shape-fitted through the hip, pleated from the lower thigh down, and calf length- wasn’t doing anybody any favors. So we reappropriated the fabric!
I’ve been wanting to make a tie where the knot is a different color than the tie, and after some experimenting with length and proportion, this is the result! The bright pink plaid is saved from J Crew status by adding the salvage black fabric.
A full run of Two-Tone ties (as well as our recent line of ties cut from vintage fabrics) will be available at our Men’s Night, so RSVP and come on down to check them out!
