This week’s About a dress was dotated to us by a lovely customer. The dress had side seams that were completly ripped open, and some damages here and there.
We have been so inspired by turning old dresses into separates and being able to wear them so many more times and in various combinations, especially since closet space is sometimes sparse in the city. This dress we chopped in half, hemmed into a cropped length, repaired the stripe around the neck (which also has buttons!), and shortened the sleeves. As for the skirt, and tucked in the waist with elastic, rehemmed, and added 2 large buttons, because ladies, we all love buttons!
Wear this to work with a cami underneath, or wear out on the town with amazing heels and jewelry. Wear the top with your favorite high waisted jeans for that 70s hottie look, and wear the skirt with anything! This is definitely one of our favorite fabrics thus far!
