And so it begins: the season of gift guides! I love a good gift guide myself, and today’s post will start a series of guides for those special people in your lives, exclusively using items in the store. Today will be for the brother in your life! Older, younger, it matters not. Well, he should be 21 or older to enjoy one of these gifts.
1. An Illustrated Guide to Cocktails
I’m fairly positive this is the best gift to give a brother. It’s old-timey while still being hip. The cocktail recipes inside are fantastic, and the illustrations make it the perfect coffee table read, while still being super useful at the bar. You brother will also have a new found respect for your coolness. Because this book is cool. You might want to buy two, because after you own it you might have trouble giving it away.
2. Handmade Pacman tie bar.
Shown here on a Ginger Root Outlined Tie, this retro-cool tie clip will solidify your spot as the favorite sister. And if you are the only sister, than no problem there. The clip is made by Rachel Pfeffer out of a flattened, silver dime from the 1940’s, and three black onyx cabochons. It is simple and slightly abstract, giving it a classy flare as opposed to an obvious old-school gaming vibe.
3. Owl Prints
By the same illustrator from the cocktail book above, these little Elizabeth Graeber owl prints would make a great little gift for your bro, older or younger. Owls are always cool, and these are extra cool.
4. Outlined Neckties
These handsome, one of a kind ties are created from old and damaged neckties. Would be great to give with that Pacman tie clip!
