You may remember Emily from a while back on our blog. We have worked on many-a vintage garment from her closet, but this time she brought in an old blazer for us to update.

This is a perfect example of how you can update your work wardrobe with what you already have! I’ve been really enjoying the collar-less suits that theory has been making. Emily was inspired by our Cardi-Blazers and wanted to give her old cotton blazer a revamp. She wanted to keep the jacket more classic for work, we decided to bypass any decorative stripes and concentrate on the shape.

So we hemmed the sleeves 3/4, hemmed the jacket so it fit her frame a little better, and adapted the neck to be collar-less, and there you have it! A blazer perfect to wear as a suit or with a dress to work, but just as ready to wear out for cocktails with skinny jeans after work!
